Would anyone know where i can download the above game from the 80's - it was a classic, walking along kicking 1000's of the same type of gimps with low kicks. Also i played some of the Classic Arcade combo games on Playstation and they seem absolutely crap - is it me or are these games a far cry from the arcade versions or im just seeing the past with rose-tinted glasses?

    check out mame

You should be able to get hold of a Kung Fu Master ROM,
    google mame roms.

You are right, there is no substitute for the arcade original, a mame rom will be an exact copy of the original game board in file format.

I was playing the C64 version of KFM recently and it's a lot easier than the arcade game.

What a classic! I came across the arcade for the first time in Spain on a package holiday with the folks in the late 80´s. It kept me out of trouble along with Commando for two weeks! As for conversions I actually thought the c64 was pretty good when I picked it up. I guess back in the day you just assumed it wouldnt be as good as the arcade. Anyway without KFM there would be no classic beat em ups like a lot the cps1 and cps2 games.
