I'm looking to buy a 2 iron... anyone suggest anywhere that sells them?

I'd be looking for a quality name, preferably Titleist.

    Thanks

Saw a savage one that a guy i know is selling. One of the pro series or tour callaways - can't remember the exact model - with a rifle shaft.

Although I always think if you're going for a 2 iron you're better off getting the same make, model and spec as your irons.

That's what i was thinking too. I'm hoping to get a Titleist of some sort, although the Mizuno ones also sit very nice.

I've never been a Callaway fan for some reason. I had a Ping one iron as a youth which i liked, but it got stolen!

Was it a Zing or an Eye2? They were savage back in the day. Had one myself with the old stripey grip!

To answer your question about where to buy I would say you'd wreck your head trying to find one you like in a shop with the right shaft etc. For the sake of a few quid you're probably way better off just ordering one in through McGuirks or wherever.

I'd agree that you should get a matched one. If you buy a 2 that's different to the rest of your irons your 3 iron may have a relatively strong loft/long shaft so it could be a waste of time getting the 2.

Try ebay.co.uk and search for the exact model you need.

If you find a good source for individual long irons then let us know as I am a long iron fan and it can be frustrating trying to find long irons with the right spec.

I remember looking for a Wilson Pi5 2 iron at one stage, was told in a couple of different places that there's "no such club" and "they never made a 2 in that model". Later I see one on ebay (so they DO exist after all ) but it was in the States and was a left hand.

    Check out this fella:

It's similar to the Mizuno fli-hi. Forgiving but still essentially an iron as opposed to a rescue club.

Cheers for the tips! I already have a rescue, which i often use instead of my 3-iron. It goes quite high though so i'm looking for a 2-iron for when i'm playing in wind or links.

Ebay was a good shout... watching a couple of interesting ones at the moment.

Just dont make any sudden moves. With patience, you should be able to tame it. Overtime they can even become quite docile, and even civilised.

    Try here http://www.golfbidder.co.uk/
I've bought both individual irons and a set from here. Good quality used stuff, fast cheap delivery too.
