Hi All,

Attached are standings after Race 6, Dunshaughlin, last Saturday.

As it stands 13 female and 18 male athletes have at least completed the minimum of 5 out of the 8 races.

Another 7 female and 10 male athletes need one more race to qualify.

A further 10 female and 24 male athletes need to compete in both the remaining 2 races to qualify.

If all make it then we will have 30 female and 52 male athletes qualifying for ranking in the League.

This would be a tremendous improvement on the last 2 years, when in and around 26 athletes in total qualified.

At the moment we have 31 qualified.

The remaining races are South O'Hanlon AC 4 Mile Road Race, 8th August 2008 at 8pm from Claremont Stadium, Navan (David Carey 086 831 3532) and Bohermeen AC 4 Mile Road Race and Juvenile Program on Sunday 14th September 2008 at 2pm (Stephen Ball 046 9027041)

Following on last Friday's South O'Hanlon 4 Mile race the current placings in the Meath Athletics Open Road Race League after 7 Races are attached.

We now have 37 athletes eligible for the League, having competed in at least 5 of the races so far.

Another 24 can become eligible if they compete in the Bohermeen 4 Mile on Sunday 14th September.

All eligible athletes will be entered into a confined draw for a 2 night hotel-break in Ireland, with separate draws for Meath-registered and non-Meath-registered athletes.

Final placings in Meath Open Road Race League 2008 attached.

The 2009 equivalent will kick off with a 5 mile Road Race on St. Patrick's Day.

Congratulations to Paul Hardiman, North Westmeath who won the voucher for a mid-week hotel break in the draw amongst those non-Meath registered athletes who completed the minimum 5 legs to qualify for classification.
