    Hey hey

I've managed to get my hands on a seemingly banjoed PSP. It's a white base pack model, serial PSP 1006. Can anyone shed any light on which region the 1006 is? I gave it a charge to day and initially when on charge it powered up for me but hasn't since. It may be a battery problem in which case I can get my hands on new batteries no problem, I'm just wondering if the 1006 is a specific region that needs a specific battery etc. Or am I just left with a definitely bricked PSP? :D

    Cheers
    Niall

All PSP are universal, no region coding on hardware or games.
You probably have a brick but I would try to power it on with batttery removed on AC power and see what happens.
If it is bricked you can get a TOOL battery from DealExtreme to fix it for €10.

just download pandora battery kit for it. you will have to download the sony firmware aswell for it too but that should fix your problem.

bricked just means that it may aswell be a brick cos its useless lol. Your one might be bricked i dunno . Alls not lost. Just download the pandora battery kit and hopefully that will fix your psp. Its easy to do and there are loads of tutorials available to do it. You will need to go to sony site then and download official firmware to do it. Best of luck

Well yes if your not tech savvy enough to fix it but it can be done (pandora battery mentioned above..)

Mine was temporarily bricked and i pluged it into the pc and messed around with it till it worked(cant remember what i did.. )

Question package..... did you use custom firmware?
