Going into 4th year of the course and just finished the teaching practice part. Its a tough course but really enjoyable. Plenty of hands on experience of both lab work in Science and of actual teaching. Great way into teaching as pretty much from the first year you get an opportunity to teach kids, whether its kids coming into the college or actually going out to work in schools. Everything is done with an aim towards teaching science and maths, rather than the old method of getting a degree in science and maths and then a h dip.
I would really recommend the course, have enjoyed he past three years and am really looking forward to going back in September.

Just finished 1st year, great course. Numbers in course range from year to year, science aspect is great. Lots of lab work and coursework though. You're in for a lot of work, with a good deal of group work. Not much to worry about not having done one science subject or something if you can work hard to get a grasp on things. Lecturers and lab people are super friendly, for me it was all about the people who made it. Along with the 15 mins teaching practise at the end of the year, giving an insight straight away into teaching. :)

I've just finished the course this year and I can honestly say it was the best 4 years of my life! Its a tough course but if you put your head down every now again you'll be fine - Final semester of fourth year is hell but its doable =) The people are what really made it for me though..Met some amazing people and really had a lot of great experiences! The lecturers and staff are all very friendly and will help you out no matter what! Best of luck with it =)

heading into se4 this year. First year is fun the micro teaching in front of your course mates can be intimidating at times but its worth it for the placement which is the best part of the course.
just make sure you dont get bogged down with eugenes maths for physicists in first year. get help straight away if you are struggling and enjoy it :)
