memory for HP compaq 6720s

hey!

so i got this laptop about a year ago now, and its running on vista with a gig of ram, in one card. (ive opened it up and looked), but tbh its not enough, the computer is VERY VERY slow and was from the start, so im going to upgrade it to 3 by putting another 2 gig card in it. ive tried looking on the hp site, and apparently theres loads of different models of this laptop, but i dont have a clue where id find what model this one is? any help?

now im a slight tecnophobe when it comes to "indepth" stuff like this, so when i do eventually get it, whats the deal with setting it up, is it just a matter of bashing it in, and instaling the new hardware from the control pannel, or is there more?

What processor does the laptop have? As for the installation, all you have to do is put the stick into the spare slot. That's it.

according to the properties window, its a intel core 2 duo cpu
T5460 @ 1.6 GHz

So it's ddr2 you're looking for. The 2GB A-Data stick on here (http://shop4memory.com/products/ddr2-so-dimm.asp) will do the job.
