I want to add a couple of SATA2 drives to my Dell SC440 system (connected to a sata raid controller).

The "2" bit scares me, do i need a different type of controller /connector to work with SATA2?

    Thanks.

This was asked before. It seems SATA2 is backward compatible with SATA but you need to change the settings on a jumper on the drive.

There's usually only one jumper on a Sata drive. This will force the hard drive into 1.5Gbps mode which is SATA 1 so as to piece..piece of cake..ntothing to worry bout :D
