    His answers were fine in themselves , I take it they were not that glib before they were edited , but the journalist found a figure, €435m which is actually :

    THE ENTIRE COMMS BUDGET INCLUDING DTT AND MANs AND DAB over course the ENTIRE NDP 2007-2013 which means SOME OF HAS ALREADY BEEN SPENT ON WOOD PELLETS IN 2007 FOR EXAMPLE !!!!!!!!!

    The journalist in their dimness then assumed the figure would be spent going forward and only spent on the NBS . Maybe the figure did not register with Damien so I will leave it here for him to comment on in full should he choose.

    Maybe Ryan mentioned the figure at a launch and that conflazuluzzled the journo, if so read the ****ing NDP willya. :(

    You could launch your own satellite for that money but dont tell Ryan that

    No more than €50m was ever envisaged for the NBS portion of the NDP ., even by Dempsey and even that money is not actually there but Ryan has 3 suspects to blame for that so he announced it anyway :)

    Pre Ryan numbers, nothing to do with Ryan , 2007 money spent already , numbers rehashed to impress silly journalists .
    Investment under the Economic Infrastructure Priority of NDP 2007-2013 is indicatively estimated at \54.7
    billion. This investment will be spread across the following Programme areas:

    etc etc

    1. Ryan was not even in government when this was cooked up .
    2. Ryan already blew €10m of that on Wood Pellets last year m it could not be more than €425m so and he knows it .
    3. Ryan and Dempsey have already spent nearly half the €526m Energy allocation on Wood Pellets FFS , there are still over 5 years to go :(
    4. The entire comms allocation is €435m in 7 years 9 , ie 2007-2013. Thats €62m a year total, including NGN and MAN and Fibre Ducts and whatnots , Ryan robbed 16% of his 2007 budget for pellets and you know it well.

    Thats the real story !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    That and the fact that he has robbed a load more of the 2008 budget for pellets as well .
