    Hi

Would really appreciate some guidance on this.
We are renting out a family members apartment and would like to be able to accept rent allowance tenants also.
Anything on the web just states how the tenant should go about registering for rent allowance but nothing for the landlord.
Does anyone have any information on this?

    Thanks

    I don't know.

Can I suggest that you talk to the local community welfare officer (usually based in the local health centre) and housing department in the local council?

When you have a tenant you will need to register with the PRTB and at the end of the year you will have to declare the income to Revenue. If the owner is out of the country, you may have repsonsibilities.
