    just looking for a bit of advice . im 21 and i was just wondering if this is a bit too old to get into boxing i live in donnycarney area and if anyone could tell me wereabouts a club around the area would take in someone my age ?

    Check the stickies above, on the boxing forum and it will give you contact numbers of most dublin clubs, ring your local ones and see if they take on adults, if not you could go the white collar/blue collar route..gatting into amateur boxing at your age to fight would be next to impossible as the standard is very high, there is a novice championships every year though!

    I wouldn't be too discouraged.
    The two Reynolds brothers from Sligo were 21 and 18 when they took it up and went on to win approx. 13/14 senior All-Irelands between them.
    If you're determined enough who knows ?

    But be prepared for lots of pain and suffering.
