Electrical Apprenticeship

Ive have been trying to get a position as an apprentice electrician for a while now and I am having no luck with the way the trades are atm. Im from Drogheda and there are no postions around here at all. Does anyone know of any big companies in Dublin or Dudalk who take on Electrical apprentrices.

I know of 4 close friends and 10 others who were let go in their 1st, 2nd and 3rd years of apprenticeship. This has all happened in the last 2-3 months.

I think you're swimming against the tide to try and get in there tbh.

One mate has had to move to Co. Clare to make sure he can keep his job.
