As you may or may not know /\ NIGHTFLIGHT is out to right all the wrongs of the world. Starting with ending people's woe's about high night club prices, so this week we're doing a Ryanair style super cheep seats and charging only 3eu admission before midnight! making us not only the best but cheapest night out this Friday.

Secondly you've probably being hearing a lot about the governments plan to close all nightclubs at 2.30am, Well we're hopefully going to 03.30am this week so here's your chance to get out & enjoy the extra hour dancing while we can. And for those that missed it here's what went down at /\ NIGHTFLIGHT last Friday:

Jon Averill is the headliner this week, perhaps best known to Dublin clubbers as being the main energy behind Backlash, one of Dublin's most beloved and missed clubnights, famed for its strange mix of electronic rockers, Chicago boomers, italo-disco and other electroid madness that seemed to work so well and converted those who formerly had no interest in dance music and kept them coming back week after week.

After four years of hedonistic Thursdays in Wax, Rogue and finally The POD. Jon hung up his Backlash headphones late last year and the club finished shortly after. Jon has concentrated on other projects such as the Shock parties. They've run a series of memorable one-offs in the last while, picking their acts from all parts of the musical straosphere, including a live gig by Factory Records legends A Certain Ratio and guests of the calibre of Ewan Pearson, the punk-poet John Cooper Clarke, Padded Cell, Joakim, Fujiya and Miyagi, reflecting the varied interest of the Dublin scene. This will be Jon's first headline slot since his last set at Backlash in the Pod over 8 months ago.

Kicking off the night are two stalwarts from the Downtownsounds stable, Benway and Louche. DTS are famed for their great music selection and crowd who bring an energy like no other. The guys ran parties for nearly four years in the basement of Ri-Ra, bringing top drawer purveyors of funk, cosmic disco, electroid grooves and house music to the capital every single month. Between them they've supported the likes of Metro Area, Farley Jackmaster Funk, The Unabombers and Danielle Baldelli and so should have more than enough in their respective pumps to get the dancefloor moving tonight.
