can a drummer tell me is this any good or not? Main question is in regards to mono vs stereo as it seems to talk about that a bit and also can I put it through a stereo as theres no monitor with it but I was hoping I could put it through a big stereo I have at home.

    the two kits are.. http://www.thomann.de/ie/millenium_mps200_edrum_special_set.htm

    So mono vs stereo?
can they be put through a stereo system?

Lastly Im a beginner drummer / casual at home drummer only more than likely use it for fun mainly as Im a bassist first and foremost.

    Cheers

    hows it go'n
i had a roland td3 v kit and ran it trough me stereo while playing along with songs also able to connect an mp3 player with head-phones and again deadly bit of crack with it

if your worried about mono v stereo the roland had the two features
so i reckon the kits your lookin at also have it .

well hope this answers your Q's

playin it trough your stereo you'll need extra leads male to male jacks.
there in MAPLINS or PEATS on parnell st, for about 3or4 quid

by the way the sound of them is amazing.........

I have the MPS 400. I would definately recommend it, especially over the 200. Ur getting dual zone cymbals with choke capability, and a dual zone snare. Also stereo out so better sound. And, most importantly, midi. All for only €100 more. I recently stated using mine with the XLN Addictive Drums VST software. Its a big improvment, far more realistic. The mps 400 is still pretty good though. I also got the Millenium DM30 drum monitor and PD222 double bass pedal (Both are unbelievable quality for the price). I am going to get a mesh head snare this week hopefully.

If I could start again I would probably get this one though: http://www.thomann.de/ie/milleniumalesis_mesh_headdm5_edrum_set_02.htm
When I bought it I didn't think I'd get as in to it as I have (I am a guitarist at heart) so I couldn't justify the expense, I regret it now.Having said that the cymabls on the MPS 400 are far better.

Anyway, I would definately recommend it. U get alot for your money and the quality is great.

thanks for the replies thats a great help. Looks like spending the extra few quid is the way to go. Its funny you say your a guitarist too and justifying spending money on drums is hard, thats exactly how I feel but I know I'll enjoy it at the same time. MPS 400 for now. If I really get in to it I suppose I'll have to rethink down the line. Anyway thanks a mil guys. Cant wait to get it now!

I just saw this kit online http://www.gear4music.com/Drums/Electronic_Drum_Kits/Alesis_DM5_Pro_Drum_Kit_Package_Dealsefv_6.html
Its about a 100quid cheaper than the other one that Im thinking of getting http://www.thomann.de/gb/millenium_mps_400_e_drum_set_bundle.htm?partner_id=82764 ...
Any advice drummers?? Which is better? Whats the difference. The cheaper one seams to have quite high rims as well

    cheers
