help urgent file problem

    hi all please can u help me on this i am trying to send my CV to employers via hotmail but when i try and open any attachments through hotmail they wont open.
    i am saving my files in word97 .doc
    i tried wps aswell as i have works not word on my computer nothing is working im lost
    i thought it was my computer but i sent a few out and other people cant open them on their computers either please help
    i have open office i could use that but same thing happening
    relly need to get applying for jobs and i cant woth this problem

    It's not very clear what the problem is.

    Start at the beginning - write a basic document in Open Office. Save it in Word format and send it to someone. I doubt it is a hotmail problem.

    If all else fails, try saving it as an RTF file as many programs can open these files. Alternatively, using OpenOffice, you could save the file as a PDF and forward that.

    or cut and paste the contents of the cv straight into an email so there is no attachment
