I am looking for an indoor venue for an event <snip> that is planned to take place on the first weekend in October this year. I would like the venue to preferably be in the greater Dublin or Midlands area and needs to be indoors with a space of at least 40 x 20 m and possibility for seating. Lots have riding schools have this space but they tend to be booked up with riding lessons at weekends. Anyone have such a venue available or know anyone that has either public or private.

What sort of event is it...? Off the top of my head, have you contacted Roscrea EC, Birr EC, Annaharvey EC or possibly even Mullingar or Creagh EC? Although I'd say the majority of equestrian centre's have lessons at the weekend as you mentioned...

Hello Alibear, the event is learning hands-on processes, working with energy to assist horses, whether it's healing injury or making them easier to ride. Most of the activities will involve watching the tutor and then practising the techniques on horses during the course. Participants can bring their own horses and they can be worked on during the sessions. The weekend lessons in riding schools is a stumbling block so if anyone has an indoor venue available please let me know.

This is the first time this event will be anywhere in Europe

I have copy the summary of the event below:

Conscious Horse, Conscious Rider is THE workshop for horse lovers-and everyone else. Gary Douglas will be facilitating a fascinating equine workshop that combines stunning and unique outlooks on communicating with horses to improve the performance of the horse and the rider, with humor and practicality. It also includes hands on instruction in applying the healing techniques of Access Energy Transformation to healing horses. Participants will learn these techniques and be able to apply them on their own to their own animals and even to family members and friends if they choose. More than that, Conscious Horse, Conscious Rider is for everyone who wishes to develop a deeper connection to the earth and all its creatures, to be able to talk to the animals and hear what they say, and to facilitate the healing in all of us. Horses who are having difficulties and their people are invited to come to this weekend!

To find out more PM me and I'll email you the flyer and also more information at http://www.accessconsciousness.com/chcr/workshop/index2.htm

Well if you're coming from Birr, when you're coming into Roscrea you'll pass Lidl on your left, followed by the Texaco Station and the library. You'll then arrive at the traffic lights, turn left there, then turn left again shortly afterwards and continue down that road past the housing estate you'll see on the left. A short distance afterwards it'll be on your right - In between two houses there's a narrow lane. There's a sign which says "Roscrea Equestrian Centre" there as well. I'm cr*p at giving directions sorry! :o
