The book My Sister's Keeper is currently being made into a movie and Cameron Diaz is cast as Sarah, the mother figure. I just don't see her in this role given the character created by Picoult.

I was thinking Kate Winslet or Charlize Theron. Maybe even Michelle Pheiffer- I loved her in I Am Sam.

I'd have replaced Colin Farrell in Alexander with Heath Ledger (who was the original choice). The film would still be far from perfect but it'd be a start.

I don't agree with this one- I think Emile Hirsch lacks the comic timing that Shia LaBeouf brings to all his roles. I found his sarcasim and humour to be one of many enjoyable elements of Transformers. I've heard he ad-libs some of his lines- don't know if there's any truth in this.

I am (was) a huge Dredd fan, and obviously Stallone was wrong for the role (Dredd is NOT 5'7!!!). But I think around that time the only actor who was perfect for Dredd was Dolph Lundgren

Dredd as you know is oldest judge still on active street duty, so you would needed someone old and chiselled like good auld Clint

Lundgren would have been a hell of a lot better than Stallone - assuming he kept his helmet on! But obviously I was thinking of Dredd in his prime, circa 1980, not as he is now. Anyway, don't want to hijack the thread

What about Peter Weller (Robocop) as Dredd? It's the same character but just a little less robotic.
