    Just seeing if there is any advice or info out there;

    My boss raised the idea of us getting a corporate membership (would need to be close enough to Dubin - he mentioned Powerscourt) for the company for client schmoozing etc...couple of questions;

    For 2k what would we get;
    - how many rounds per year ?
    - access to facilities, ie bar / restaurant etc ?
    - would an individual be able to play in comps, get a handicap etc? (selfishly asked there!)

    Sorry if its too vague but really got no idea and wanted to see if anyone knew anything on here before the phone calls and enquiries kick into gear...

    Cheers

    For 2k you can forget about Powerscourt, you wouldn't even get in the gate.

    Corporate membership generally allow 4 designated members to play and bring guests at a reduced rate. The4 members are are entitled to membership privileges and benefits, seven days a week.

    The more elite clubs generally cater for corporates and charge accordingly.

    See Mount Juliet as an example (which would be cheaper than alot of Dublin clubs)

    Corporate Membership
    Option A
    The subscription starts at €5,825 for one nominee (no joining fee payable).

    Option B
    The subscription starts at €5,825 for one nominee (no joining fee payable). To qualify for this golf membership, the Corporation and Nominee(s) must reside outside a 50km radius of Mount Juliet Golf Club. Up to three guests playing with a Nominee will be entitled to a 100% discount on the relevant green fee on any given day.

    Option C
    This option allows the applicant to apply for golf membership for 4 years for a total of €14,000 payable in advance (no joining fee payable).

    Corporate Affiliate Package
    The Corporate Affiliate Package is available to Affiliate Corporations (partnerships, companies and other corporate bodies), whereby a director or an employee of the corporation can entertain guests at Mount Juliet and enjoy the benefits of membership, as if he/she were a member. Where that corporation is not a current member, a 50km restriction applies. There price of the scheme if €5,825 (no joining fee payable).

    Cheers for the info...

    BTW - I quite like Castleknock - been in great nick everytime I have been there and has some challenging holes...The 17th is a right royal pain in the proverbial

    There's been a bit of discussion on Castleknock before ithink. If you try the search tool on boards i'm sure it might throw the old threads back up for you. I've never played it, but it looks fantastic.

    i'd probably agree with all that.

    however, for the amount they charge i was hoping for a little better. Not a course i would want to play every week, but still good for a game every year or so.

    Looks like it wasn't very memorable then Graeme :)
