Generally, I pick up a hat from places I've visited over the years (if they are anyway decent).

Thus far I've collected the following:
    Russian Soldier's Hat - Prague '90

    Russian Rabbit Fur Hat x 2 - Belarussia '94 & 97

Bushman's Hat - Gift from Australian mate '96

    Beret - Paris '00

    Trekker's Trilby-ish Hat - Chicago '01

'Coon Skin Hat - Dusseldorf '02

    Straw Trilby - Menorca '04

Missed opportunities & still on the wish list:

    Tyrolean Hat - Germany

    Yarmulke - Israel

I forgot the wooly hats from various breweries in Belgium & scandanavian construction companies.

I've several baseball caps too, but they're not really worth mentioning.
