Its owned by DSG International, which operates as Curry's, PC World and Dixons.

Currys main buisness is Domestic Aplliances

PC World's main buisness is Computers (I think...not to sure now..)

Dixons main buisness was Photography, audio and Visual appliances

Dixons stores in the Uk have all been rebranded to Currys and however it still operates 6 stores in Ireland as Dixons. The Dixons brand name still operates as an online Store in the UK.

There you go.....its all on their website. :D:D

There is not enough room for Curry's and Harvey Normans......one will fold.
Good for us because the competition will put prices down a pinch...:D

    I hope.

Nonsense. Many places have several large retailers competing to sell similar merchandise. It has been shown that pooling such businesses in an area can actually improve trade by offering greater choice. You may as well say Argos and Hamlins provide goods available in Harvey Norman and PC World so they must fold as well.

it will be fantastic for us as customers, i noticed the price of P.C.'s come down big time in Harvey Norman after PC World set up shop....i ended up buying my Laptop in Harvey Norman and my Desktop a few weeks later in PC World....worked out perfect.

Sorry peejay1986.....forgot to mention that the rebrand to Currys.digital:D:D

Meh, I'll still be doing any of my purchasing* from Curry's at their Newry branch for the VAT difference and £STG savings.

    *assuming there's anything worth buying

Was in today and there wasn't much going cheap.

@ Wertz, your right about heading up north with the current exchange rate.
