Virtual DJ hardware controller - recommendations?

    Howdy,

I use Virtual DJ 5 on a laptop for DJ'ing in the bedroom and small gigs - nothing huge, just the usual parties, 21sts, pub gigs, etc. - and so far I've been doing it all via the mouse/keyboard but I know that using a specific hardware controller could be much easier and faster - so was wondering which one you guys would recommend I use with it?

I was thinking the Hercules DJ Control or DJ Console Mk2 (this one looks better to me) ... I like the RMX model too - but am open to suggestions.

{EDIT} Not sure what my upper limit would be, price wise as yet but money is an issue unfortuantely... just looking for suggestions.

    Cheers in advance,

Not really sure yet... €200-€300 at most more than likely.

well your options are....hercules mk2 i have it not too bad but youll want to upgrade soon.
theres the vci 100 very good controller will be about 300 if u look around but does not have a built in soundcard therefore prelistening your song before you bring it in will not be possible without buying a external soundcard.
theres the bcd 3000 fairly decent controller around the same type of quality as the hercules both of them have a built in soundcard
Then theres the hercules rmx which i reckon is the best for u. its around the 300 mark solid unit metal casing. great changes have been made since the mk2 and it has a built in soundcard!! hope i was of help

My other question was to be where in Ireland you could recommend to buy such equipment. If I understand correctly, most online stores wont ship electronic goods from outside Ireland to here- well, Amazon wont anyway.

Any good old bricks and mortar stores you can recommend?- or is there an online store that'll do the job?
