I am looking for a webcam for use in a poorly lit server room with a builtin webserver, so multiple users can login to view through a browser and power over ethernet capibility. The camera needs to be relatively small and moveable, powerfull enough to clearly display LEDs and small buttons in dim lighting. Any one got any experience or recomendation, would be much appreciated. Seen a few, but dont want to fork out unless decent. Cheers

Id recommend an Axis Network Camera, there are several different levels and several different prices ranges. For example please find below a link for the Fixed body cams with POE support, these are not cheap btw!

    http://www.axis.com/products/video/camera/productguide.htm

One of the better models there would be the Axis 221. The following are the features you requested.

    POE, movable, Dim lighting..

    Day/night switching - Automatic
    low lux min 0.65
All cameras movable as it is only a cat5 lead

    Look here for detailed spec:

    http://www.axis.com/files/datasheet/ds_221_29999_en_0709_lo.pdf

Guide price and this is TBC if you were interested would be €999 + VAT but including delivery.

An alternative would be the 211, this would be €599 + vat and would have a 0.75 lux. specs are here:

    http://www.axis.com/products/cam_211/index.htm

Another option would be a really good quality Samsung Techwin low lux body camera running either on a DVR with network access or some kind of network server...

Let me know on PM if you would like more info..

    Thanks
