My daughter has a 1 acre site in county roscommon and is finding it very difficult to ascertain if planning permission is needed for a mobile home. My daughter has a 1 acre site in county roscommon and is finding it very difficult to ascertain if planning permission is needed for a mobile home. Some tell her that if it is parked 50 metres back from the road planning permission is not required, someone else said it is required but, instead of applying for permission just go ahead and park it and then apply for retention. Any help on this would be very much appreciated.

Yes permission is required, as there needs to be a sewerage system of some sort.
