help in connecting a BOSE dvd to new flat screen

I have an older model BOSE 3.2.1 system - 2 speakers and a sub (got from parents as they never used it). I've also a new wall mounted toshiba flat screen at a location where pre-cabling has been done already.

The cables which run from the tv to the corner of my room are as follows;-
    1. scart cable for sky box
    2. HD cable
    3. Audio visual cable (a green 6 core cable, 75 OHM) - not sure what this will be used for
    4. Another cable (7 core, 100 OHM) - I think this meant to be a spare.

At the minute the speakers for the BOSE player are in the corner of the room. COuld the spare cable (4. above), be manipulated for this, if I were to hang the speakers directly beside the tv??

Also the auido visual cable which has no connection head on it, could this also be used for the visual connection between the BOSE DVD and tv??

One final question, when playing a DVD, should you be able to hear sound through the tv speakers and not just through the speakers for the BOSE player??

As i said i'm a total novice when it comes to this stuff, so your help would be appreciated
