I got a box of Tesco's Corn flakes today and on opening the bag and pouring the cornflakes into the bowl they also flooded out of the other end of the bag, leaving cornflakes everywhere. It's happened before as well. Worst packaging for some prodcuts..

How did they get through the box?

If your one of those people who takes the bag out of the box to pour the cereal out then it's your own fault and that is done deliberately to make you stop doing that.

I'd like to point out that Tesco have lowered the price of the 750gm cornflakes meaning the 750gm now work out cheaper per KG, then the 1kg pack, which used to work out cheaper (as most bigger packs usually do).

Wait... they poured out the top as well as the bottom? Were you having breakfast on the International Space Station?

What about the lack of nutrients and the added potassium benzoate.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,485 ✭✭✭Thrill

Buy Kelloggs instead of cheapo, store brand cornflakes. You get a better class of bag.

I take the bag out as the box top keeps on getting in the way while pouring. Bottom line is this wouldn't happen with Kellogs.

Astronauts have to get some breakfast too you know.

Whatever about their cereals their Salt and Vinegar Crunchy Sticks are amazing.

They do leave your mouth numb and contain a stroke inducing amount of salt but they really are tasty...well up until the point your mouth goes numb.

    Kellogg's are a brand name.

I buy the tesco brand and put them into a kellogg's box there's no difference that i can tell, i then buy drink with the money i saved.

I always get this picture in my head when I think of Tesco brand beer of some employee taking a leak into a bunch of cans in the back store.....

It's true! Pay the little extra if you don't want your kids to shoot up! Gaeltachts are the problem though, kids get sent away then the Ban An Ti will insist on feeding them the tesco type corn flakes and the kids have grown a foot the next time you see them!

Edit: You don't understand, it's the flaps!
Anyway, I felt that it was important enough to bring this up with tescos as it could effect my quality of life. Their feedback forum is quite funny, is open to inventiveness.

Pfft, store brand cereals - what lower class tosh.
If the proletariat want well packaged, non-spilling cereal then they'll have to bloody well work for it.

pour the milk into the bag, but leave it in the box. also if you bought tesco milk make sure the bottom does not burst when pouring it.

Tesco value food all the way! I lived off the stuff for 2 weeks while the parents were gone, the shopping bill didn't pass 10 euro and its not that bad.

Most of the food are copy's of your usual food, but there are one or two canned food that didn't have strong tastes.

A lot of Tesco's home brand stuff are exactly the same, the higher the quantity the more expensive it is per kg. It doesn't make any sense.

Cereals were invented because Mr Kellogg thought too much meat caused "sin". They still exist because the US has to get rid of the millions of tons of grains it produces.
