Infected by blood splash ?

So there you are up to your neck in zombies, fire axe swinging left right and centre , heads exploding in a fountain of blood and gore, it's looking good theres only a couple left but you are soaked with zombie blood, it's dripping from everywhere , you can taste it in your mouth, are you infected ?

As far as I know the zombie infection has to enter your blood stream. This would be particularly difficult threw you mouth unless of course you had a bad cut in there.

Might be a good idea to consult a physician though

If the zombies are virus type then the virus would be very similar to HIV for example which can be contracted by ingesting blood or getting it in an open wound etc.

If they are necromancer type zombie then they arent infected by a virus so their blood cant be a threat to you.

You'd be infected alright, bu being in the middle of a zombie hoard wouldn't be good no matter what way you look at it

Thats why i was saying not to use short range weapons because of the blood splash.

A flame thrower is pretty good - you don't get much splashing. It takes a little bit longer and they are still fairly mobile while alight so you definitely need a bit of distance or, a personal favourite, sit on a rooftop and aim downwards.

Flame throwers are terrible! Fuel is hard to get with them, they're not very controlable, very heavy and awkward and flaming zombies don't react like flaming people - You just have a whole pile of walking fireballs, coming right at you, nevermind the fact you might set fire to your escape route/gettaway wheels etc!

I believe they are known as Gombies.

I hear the point about the walking fireballs but that's why I recommend using it when you have a vantage point that they can't reach like a rooftop or, say, behind a good chain fence.

I am not looking forward to the remake...even with the better special effects.
