What is it with muppets standing steadfastly on the yellow line at the train station when there not even waiting for the next train. They get in the way of those alighting the train and those getting onto the arriving train.

    Muppets !

They like the yellow line. It keeps them mellow and fine. You should try it some time. It might calm you down.

As a self confessed thief of high end highly reliable German cars, you sir are in absolutely no position to wail and weep about peoples annoying habits. You're double standards make Pighead sick to the gills.

I do it because it means that I will get first on the train and therefore get a seat. However, I'm not one of those ignorant bastards that won't get out of the way of people getting on or off the train.

Can you not wait till your train is due at least ?

Standing on the line when another train is due before yours is moronic -

    yellow lines rules.
    Single Yellow Lines

No parking during the hours indicated on the street sign. This usually lasts from 7.00amto 7.00pm, Monday to Saturday.
    Exceptions

You can park on a double yellow line for a maximum of 30 minutes while actively loading or unloading a vehicle.
    :D

What's this talk of another train. I only ever wait for one train going somewhere and one when going back. Trainspotting has a lot to answer for.

Yeah this is crazy. The first time I encountered it I waited patiently behind the row of people to board when the train came thinking it was strange they weren't barrelling on like usual. I thought there must be some wee disabled kid getting off or something and everyone was being really kind and patient. Was so impressed I just stood there with a big goofy grin on my face thinking that manners weren't dead after all, right up to the point where the doors started closing and in panic I lunged forward, shoving 2 unwilling people on to the train with me. Oops!

Talking about yourself in the third person is considered the first stage of madness (even if you have done it 5,700 odd times now). Go figure. ;)

OP - for the love of god get something jucier than that to complain about!

There are many train related things that annoy me - I wanted all those greedy Cork train drivers sacked and then run over by trains driven by immigrant workers. Unfortunately, Iarnroid Eireann demoted this brilliant idea to "Plan B" :(

One of the things that annoys me most is when people start boarding a train while people are still getting off.
For the love of God, it's not like the train will drive off the minute the last person steps off it.

I think in this case its in a similar vein to Majestic plural rather than madness :D

Well if that's true, and specifically this bit:
The idea behind the pluralis majestatis is that a monarch or other high official always speaks for his or her people

then Pighead must in fact be Ireland's monarch or figurehead.

    ...I'm emmigrating! :D

There's a word we should be using more. Fine solid word. Sorry, what was the question again?

where's the problem here? train doors are wide enough for 1 person to step on and another to step off at the same time.

less of the moaning granny acting please

Two things in this world really high light how ****ing retarded people can be.

    Elevators and Public Transport.

It doesn't matter where you are in the world, the second the doors open people are trying to get in before they let people get off.

    ****tards one and all.

The Tube in London is the worst for this, the LUAS isn't much better, especially at Heuston in the morning!

    lol that made me laugh.

While we're talking about people getting in the bloodly way how about those twats on paths who decide to make a whole line blocking the whole path so if you're on a bike you have to go onto the grass. And this can be when they're looking straight at you.

Then there's those in swimming pools who decide to swim backwards and expect everyone else to watch out while they go on their merry way looking up at the celing!

Time to start using my citizen arrests!

that has to be one of the most annoying things in the world. or people who swim slow in the fast lane. IT SAYS FAST FOR A REASON!

also annoying is when you let someone out and they don't wave thanks or flash their emergency lights as a thank you. cos clearly if you didn't let them out, they'd still be there! IGNORANT!

That's why I never let people out, one of the perks of driving a white van.... people expect me to be a pr*ck, i oblige!!!!

Flashing the ol' emergency lights is an offence under the Road Traffic Act too.

    Swing and a miss!
Listen Jimmy,(may Pighead call you Jimmy?) what the hell are you trying to say here? Swing and a miss? Is that young folks lingo for "I love you Pighead and not in a platonic admiring fashion"

The best thing about boards is that the words they allow us to type on their website are free ie they cost not a cent. Pighead could sit here and write 7000 words and boards would charge him asolutely zilch. So c'mon Jimmy let those words flow.

Brevity is naff, elaboration is cool.
