    I have a home network,

On this networki have 6+ computer including 2 laptops connected to the network thought both LAN and WLAN.

Now for the intereting bit, one of the laptops has issues. It appear that at 12 midnight the internet stops.

Now the connection out of the house is still perfect when tested on LAN, it is the WLAN that has an issue, the brousers stop working but MSN still works and i am able to carry on with convo's.

The other laptop on WLAN still works perfectly.

So i appear to have a selective connection, has anyone ever come accross this before and do ye have any idea as to how it can be resolved?

SO just to cap it off because i'm still confused, i have a laptop that wont let any browser work past 12, msn still works, and the network it is connecting to is fine. As far as i can tell:confused:

Do you have time restrictions set in your router. I have mine set to turn off the internet at 21:30 on the computers in my children's rooms

I am unsure i dont think so , but would that not stop the whole connection(MSN) and not allow me to connecting out on the LAN network, ??

Is there a firewall on that laptop? Can you establish when this problem started? Would parental controls be turned on?

There is a firwall but it is the windows one and i cant see an option in there to limit times on the internet

    No parental controls

To try and seperate whether it is the router or the laptop that has the problem would it be possible to bring the laptop to a friends house and see if it stops at 12? Hopefully you have loads of friends with wireless networks who stay up late:)

Is it just that laptop or all machines?
Sorry just re-read your orignal post - strage one alright, are you using internet explorer or another browser? Can you try another one.
    V Strange?

What sort of security have you got on the router? Have you checked if there is any mac filtering on it? Could someone have mischievously breached your security and set up some sort of rule for that laptops mac?

What router do you have? Have you tried resetting it totally via the pinhole at the back?

How long does the outage last for on this laptop?

You could try this laptop on a network cable instead around 12 (with the wifi card enabled one night-disabled the next) and see if browsing gets knocked out.

If you are familiar with Linux boot discs, try Ubuntu http://www.ubuntu.com/GetUbuntu/download . This bypasses Windows totally so will hopefully rule out software issuses.
