    From the NRAI website:
    New 1200 Yard Range

New Long Distance Range at the Midland National Shooting Centre of Ireland (MNSCI)

We would like to congratulate the MNSCI in securing the 1200 Yard distance for long range shooting, as confirmed today.

This is an historic day for long range shooting in Ireland and would not have been possible, only for JP Craven and other individuals at the MNSCI, we thank them for their hard work and effort.

Range opening times will be posted shortly, so check back soon for opening times and fees.

    Well done John.

    Roll on Palma shooting!

I think your bigger problem might be convincing the midlands lads to let you shoot a .50bmg at their new target holders...

Now whos gonna argue with a .50;):D
Id say it would make a nice hole in thier holders or what ever else the round was to hit

Fantastic news. :) It does tempt me to not pay a year's rent, stay home and learn to shoot long-range however, and that'd be a really bad and expensive idea...

Pushing their range out to 1200 yards certainly makes the work being done on DURC's range pretty pathetic. :o:D

    Good job!

Oh Drool. Great news. Would love a chance to fire at that

No problem getting a cert for a 50, it's those lunatics looking for certs for three hundred and eights that are causing the concern.

Seriously, this is a great day for shooting in Ireland and further shows how professional MNSCI is as an range. I doubt I'll need the use of the 1200 just yet, but congrats to JP and the lads. No matter what discipline you follow, we all know how hard it is to get a range up and running properly, a 1200 is some achievement.

Hope the road down is reasonably boulder and lake free, don't fancy the walk to patch the targets but might be a good nixer going in the butts for an out of work estate agent looking for a few quid.

Sigh, and I happen to know of a lefty 6.5-284 Norma going for a nice price as well...

We had some of our members (DTSC) there last Sunday. 1200 yds just unbelieveable, well done to JohnPaul, Noel Kelly, Steven and the Lads.

    Best wishes from DTSC.

Is it up and running? I've not been able to get up to the
    range in a while.
