get it done in a proper piercing studio.

stay away from georges street arcade.

and if you see a piercing gun, run for the godamn hills.

haha never noticed the 'body modification' forum :pac:

whats wrong with piercing guns? is the best way to do it with a needle or something?

any idea on price for getting both ears?

piercing guns are extremely unhygenic (spelling) and they use brute force to create the hole.

the best way to do a piercing is with a needle, and the only way to ensure this is by going to a proper piercing studio.

i was looking last year at getting my ear pierced and it was working out around 80 euro for an industrial - which is a bar that goes across the top of the ear, i think it's about 50 euro for a standard lobe.

Will wrote this excellent thread over on the body mod forums.

from reading that and remembering to sight of my neighbours ear when she got it pierce at 14 it makes me wince terribly.

you may get away with it, but i'd prefer to be safe than sorry. terrible cliche i know :)

snakebite on middle abbey street are really really good. I started stretching my ears with them so I'd definitely recommend them

Sorry for dragging up a really old thread, but I want to get my ears pierced, just regular piercing, one in each ear. Some people on this thread have said to stay away from a place that uses the gun and go to a place that uses a needle. I am totally squeemish and the thoughts of a needle make me feel sick.

Can someone explain the difference or the process of using a needle? I would have thought (knowing nothing about it) that forcing a needle into the ear lobe would be extremely painful and that the gun method would be a quick, sharp method and less painful.
