I'm heading to Vegas on Wednesday morning with a connecting flight in Gatwick. I arrive on an Aer-lingus flight in Gatwick at 8:15AM and depart at
10:45AM with Virgin, so i have 2.5 hours that i would like to be as stress free as possible.
Does anyone have any knowledge of the following?:
Will my luggage be put on the Virgin flight for me or will i have to collect in Gatwick?
Will i be given a boarding card for the Virgin flight in Dublin or do i have to check-in in Gatwick?
What terminal will I arrive at in Gatwick (I know Virgin depart in south terminal).

If anyone has any tips or info i would really appreicate it, I do not want to miss this flight!

Your luggage will only be put on the Virgin flight if both flights are on the same ticket. If not, and you booked the Aer Lingus flight seperately from the Virgin one, you'll have to collect your luggage and re-check it in with Virgin.

Again - if both flights are on the same ticket, you *may* be issued with boarding passes for both in Dublin. I suspect you will probably have to collect the Virgin one at Gatwick though. (However, if your luggage is checked through you can collect your boarding pass at the South Terminal Flight Connection Centre's Virgin desk which will save you going out to the check-in area, and then back through security). If you've got seperate tickets and luggage, then you will have to go out, re-check in at the Virgin check-in desks and clear security again.

Both Virgin and Aer Lingus use the South Terminal.

    Thanks for your input Buffy.
I booked the flights together with cheaptickets.com.
On my itinerary printout it shows 2 airline record locator numbers (1 for Aer-lingus and 1 for Virgin) but 1 ticket number. So maybe it will work out well.
