Although it's "straight to video" it's pretty damn good. The special effects are pretty good for a STV, but imo the plot was nice. Anyone else get to watch it?

Yeah, got my hands on a copy recently. The plot I thought was a bit too much on the silly side. But that said it was a nice little film.

Began watching this on Saturday night at about 1am and then the power went in my house. Turned out to be a well dodgy short in the kitchen. Lucky the place didn't catch fire. I thought they had hacked in to my house haha :)

Will hopefully get to watch this over this weekend. I liked the way they used the same War Games type face for the title, the same one used in the original move from the 80's, which I might add has aged terribly.

This movie sucked it down badly. What is with these "hacking" movies. Do they even bother to get someone who knows how to use a computer to give advice on them? The plot was pretty much the same as the first movie, except about Terrorism instead of the cold war. The acting was crap.

I'm with Sutty on this one. Albeit I'm basing my opinion on the half the movie. Couldn't be bothered watching the 2nd half. Loved the original.

Yup me too, this film is terrible. I watched it three nights ago and am already starting to forget it.

I caught a bit of Wargames on the box a few weeks back and it looked very "made for tv" clunky and I suspect its only the quality cast that keeps that version afloat now. It wasn't even a big hit at the time - it did perfectly okay for a summer release but thats all. So why even consider tagging on a sequel which has no connections of any substance? Are the video shelves so empty?

Ah but there was, WOPER was in it and so was "Do Folkner" or however it was spelt. But it was just soooooooo bad. The last 20min just made no sense. least with the first, they made it play X's and O's to find out you cant win some games. In this it was just some crappy retro stile games of chess and the above. But with no reasoning behind it. The whole ending was just so badly thought out.
