Well I finally got sick of cleaning my mighty mouse every day in order to keep it functioning and got myself a nice new Logitech MX Revolution. I heard the Logitech software can cause a lot of problems so I'm using Steermouse to map all the buttons. It's a brilliant app although I'm not used to having so many buttons and am a bit clueless as to what to use them all for.

Anyone have any tips or want to share their own settings?

The logitech software has cause me no grief, but i believe it can give windows users grief.

My MX Revolution work straight from the box.

I just went to System Preferences and click the logitech logo ( bottom left) and configured it. You can give each button a task. I changed my settings about 5 times before i was happy. I must admit because there are so many buttons it is hard to remember what you set each to do at first.

Maybe the latest version is ok but I've heard of it causing system crashes. I'm always nervous about OEM software. Steermouse works great though so I think I'll stick with that.

What have you got the thumb wheel set to?
