    Hello all , just wondering if u recieve an offer that is 2nd on your list can u reject this offer , thus recieving a third offer? and secondly can you refuse the second offer and thus continue down the list? or must u accept what you are offered?

    You cannot reject an offer to take one lower on your CAO list. You get offered the course that is highest on your list that you are eligible to take.

    If you reject your second offer, that's that - you will not then be offered your third choice.

    but you could reject your level 8 offer and take the first thing your offered from your level 6/7 list if you wanted..

    You don't have to reject your level 8 choice to be able to accept your level 6/7.

    This is why it is so important to organise your cao courses in order of preference and not in order of points.

    Because you order them so you'll get what you WANT rather then what you'll THINK you'll get.

    For example and friend of mine, put down optometry rather than medicine. He done this because he didn't think he would get the points. On results days he could have got medicine!
