Sholdering a Westmeath player on the sideline !
He was blessed today to walk away with a win and should have been paying more attention to what was going on, on the pitch. Bad selection and decisions (even with 15 helpers!), he should concentrate on his own job.

    When did this happen?

Happened twice, once in the second half iirc. Wouldnt be the first time he's done it either.

Towards end of game as Dublin were up, player tried to fetch ball after sideline awarded to westmeath. Caffrey sholdered player and said a few words. I know people will now say its just gamesmanship, but I think it has no place in our National Stadium. This is the window of GAA, not some junior parish kickabout.

It can be gamesmanship between players, but managers shouldn't be getting involved in that! Especially him considering he's a Guard:p

Well I'd consider anyone who called that a shoulder a muppet. For all his bad decisions, who won the game?

    Bitter much?

Jesus some people need to grow a pair when it comes to this kind of thing, there was absolutely nothing in that at all, happened right in front of me. The WM lads momentum took him off the pitch and right into Cafffrey and Caffrey in turn pushed him out of his space. The player didnt complain, the WM management didnt complain, so why exactly is it that u are complaining?!

A good day to be a Dub basher given how poor we were today and u go for this?:rolleyes:

Your missing the point Zzippy, He acted like a plonker and does so on a regular basis. There is NO bitterness here, as a fellow Leinster man I hope Dublin do well, but they too often act like muppets and do themselves no favours.
With a good old style manager they would have a great chance of an All Ireland, they won despite bad management.

Similar actions to last years match versus mayo so...shouldering member of the mayo staff because they were warming up down the hill 16 end...

So if it is wrong what do you make of the WM waterboy who wouldn't give Conal Keaney a drink and seemed to get involved in a tussle with him?

Well since you're calling someone a plonker and a muppet, I think your original post trying to make an innocuous incident into something much more than it was is more suited to someone deserving of those titles.
Same every championship, the begrudgers come out of the woodwork. I expect yank to pop up anytime soon to say Caffrey should be banned...

I'm not the biggest Dublin supporter in the world but even I didn't think there was much in it tbh. The players momentum was being carried into Caffrey and in the heat of the end of the match the two had the smallest of small shoves to one another. Absolutely nothing to get wound up about. The shove into the back of that Mayo guy a few years back at Hill 16 is a different story.

    Oh God.

I see a thread with the following...

    ...muppet, plonker, grow a pair...

...my heart sinks as it will become nasty.

    Locked.
