    Hi lads,
I just went out today and bought an 87 325 convertible, and thought it would qualify for classic insurance as it is 21 years old, but a friend thinks it's 25 years. I have a policy for my mk2 escort which hasn't been cancelled as i only sold it. do you think they will transfer policy to the E30.
    Thanks Gar

Did you not think to check this before buying the car??? They may well cover it though, I have a 1986 car on classic cover with AXA. What's wrong with the hood?

I was sure it was 20 years, and if you look at the link you will see its not a car you would want to miss out on. by the way wat is your 86 car?

I like E30s a lot, but the hood on that car looks like a very old one that's been recoloured. It's also not seating properly at the back. I'd want to know why the lower dash on the drivers side is missing too. It does look like a nice straight car though, apart from the wheels & Alpina badging. Just remember that a new hood won't come cheap. I don't think the seats are original either.

try axa. they have a good scheme and its a person doing the quotes - not a computer, so you can actually talk to them.
