Gumtree should be shut down

I realise its an international site, but my word, is there no moderation on the bloody thing? its a complete scam! every second ad on the thing is by some stupid individule looking to try scam somebody or have a laugh. theres no point reporting it, nobody bothers with it! you could put up an ad selling a bloody jumbo jet, reasons for sale, an elephant took it for a joyride and took a poo on the seat. it would be left up.

but thats not the real problem, people seem to sell genuine items on there, but then when you go about inquiring they either make phoney arrangements or make stupid replies. people should boycott or something, that site should be shut down. or at least, people shud just stop using it. i have. it sucks.

I already reported a guy for trying to pull a fast one on me. Gumtree is only good for local COD stuff like the Buy & Sell, i.e. for selling campers, vans and household stuff. I wouldn't chance my arm with mail orders on anything.

Most of those using Gumtree are either too cheap skate to advertise on carzone or else they have been banned from EBay and the Buy & Sell.

it still doesnt change the point.
in my opinion the worst offenders arent in ireland. chinese companies tryna flog "laptops" and people trying to "adopt out" pets, their dog, leroy brown! bloody based in spain or something! i mean, who moderated thbis site? the manitees that write family guy?

Gumtree is handy if you use it properly. In fairness it's not that difficult to wade through the rubbish and find what you want.

I've sold items before on it that ebay, carzone wouldn't take and buyandsell was a pain in ze butt. I found it quite useful.

im just pointing out the flaws with the site. obviously i'm finished on it. i wanted other peoples opions and experiences on it too.

but then i remembered a lot of the people on there are on here... and well... they all seem to have one line smart answers to things... because they are son intelligent and insightful... my god, my life has been a lie up to this moment. thank you.

The website does look very amateurish I must say. Don't think it looked after and maintained too often, unlike here of course....:)

although, he may have been one of those people who took the bikes from their initial owners, and so the gardai may not want them to take the bikes again...
