What a Great fight we got here !!
Both guys look in fantastic condition

We know what Diaz has got to bring tonight,..... he's a tough , and strong punching fighter with a lot of heart and moderate skill.
But the real Question is what will Manny Pacman bring ?

Pacquioa is moving up into a brand new heavier weight bracket, which generally means he wont have quite the same punch-power in effect.
It also suggests that he wont have been hit as hard as he will tonight !
Manny skips everybody in the lightweight division and debut's his lightweigh career with a title -shot.
It could be a little too much for the speedy Pinoy.

Manny weighed in at 134.5 , leaving a small margin of weight that could have been filled to maximize weight.
David Diaz comes in on the 135lb button.

Manny did his usual trick of going AWOL during training for a while .... and has complained profusely about the 40'C heat in Vegas . (suppose I cant blame him for that):)
But to his credit ,his phyisque suggests he has worked real hard in training.

I just have a hunch that David Diaz could come up with a suprise KO tonight. Although for the purposes of the poll i chose the more likely Manny on points.

All the elements unknown are present for this fight,.....
Diaz's biggest fight of his career , hes going to give it his very best effort.
I cant imagine he has improved much since Morales, but it remains to be seen.

    Odds :
    Manny - 1/4 v Diaz - 4/1 (approx)

Ill be having a small slice of Diaz by KO @ 10/1 waiting.gif

Is it just me or does Diaz look like he's carry the weight more 'powerfully' for want of a better word?

I think I'll have a cheeky tenner on that Diaz by ko at 10/1 though my head still says it'll be another win for the Mexecutioner!

Diaz is a bigger man but he is not fast enough to trouble Manny. I see this going to Manny, more than likely over the distance but I took a gamble in the poll for a round 9 stoppage.
Diaz does cut up a lot and with the amount of punishment I expect him to take tonight, he could be in bad shape come the later rounds.

For me the fight of the night could be the undercard scrap between Mario Santiago and Steven Luevano for the WBO featherweight title. Luevano is decent enough so we should find out tonight how good the pretty highly touted Santiago is and if he can go on to the same level as fellow Puerto Rican's Cotto and now Juan Manuel Lopez.

Thats also one to watch ,..... steve leuvano is the big favourite here.
Hope they show it now, and I hear there's the pacman marquez replay on first ?
I hope it dosent interfere with the under-card :)
