BT broadband service was unavailable yesterday in the 071,074, 096 areas. Anyone know what the problem was?

It wasn't too hot since Thursday night in the 090 area either. It was available but sync took about 5 minutes and speed/pings were dire.
Back to normal today though. Don't know what the problem was.
