supposedly this sent out letters in athlone saying they were upgrading the network for broadband recently. Any of the towns where they bought access to the MANs will probably get it at some stage. The cabling is so old though in some towns that some ppl might still not be able to get it.

Fill in the thing on the right hand side of this page to see what services are available in your town:

Clonmel and Kilkenny City have it as well and probably others

UPC have also signed a deal with Enet to connect to the MANs in Athlone, Carlow, Portlaoise and Sligo so they should be rolling out in those towns aswell.
