The game is so scrappy so far Im ettiong bored.

    The Ozzie pack re 899kg
    The Irish were 880Kg
The French a little less again.

I wonder has there ever been a 1 tonne pack ?

Its a mean feat all right, gven that each man in the Ozzie pack for example, would require 13 extra kilos on avearge!

Any forwards nerds out there know of one? or better still 2 that packed down together for the - 2 tonne scrum !

Unlikely as it is, maybe what was the heaviest international pack ever ?

Any forwards saddos want to create a fantasy heaviest pack:D ?

Didnt Carl Hayman play second row against Portugal in the RWC? Add a heavy front row (well just add Matt Dunning after he's had his daily pies) and your nearly there

You don't have to ask twice. :D

    1. Fosi Pala'amo (145kg)
    2. Ollie Le Roux (130kg)
    3. Marius Visser (140kg)
    4. Tony Buckley (134kg)
    5. Tim Collier (129kg)
    6. Gavin Quinnell (138kg)
    7. Peter Short (123kg)
    8. Henry Tuilagi (130kg)

Not many lineout options there :O

Gavin Quinnell, ridiculous.... almost 22 stone flanker for Worchester! Look at him destroy Peter Richards in this clip, ridiculous: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xwHa3bthMaI..Reminds me of the Henson v Tait thing....

    Total Pack Weight: 1069kg. Result!

I'd say some of the pacific nations or Georgia would be the heaviest packs around...

    Cool !

Buckley is a front rower however and maybe he played 2nd Row in the past ??

Its against MY rules to included him :D

69kg over the tonne there are plenty of regular 2nd Rowers that could be put in and still make the tonne !

Anyone know of a test pack that weighed a tonne, Id love to be able to wade through all my old match programmes but they are at home..grrrr !

Yup, he played 2nd row up till relatively recentely! Still, slot Bob Casey in there, and at 122kg your still packing plenty of weight...

Did you see that video? Funny stuff.

Just by way of comparison, I looked up an old book I have about the 1971 Lions tour to New Zealand. You know, the one that won the test series.

The combined weight of the Lions pack in the first test (after converting from stones and pounds to kilos) was only 760kg.

    Individual weights:

    Ian McLauchlan (Sco) 14st 6lb
    John Pullin (Eng) 14st 0lb
    Sean Lynch (Irl) 15st 4lb
    Willie John McBride(Irl) 16st 12lb
    Delme Thomas (Wal) 15st 7lb
    Peter Dixon (Eng) 15st 0lb
    John Taylor (Wal) 13st 7lb
    Mervyn Davies (wal) 14st 12lb

    Total 119st 6lb = 1672 lb = 760kg

Wouldn't win a Schools Cup match nowadays.
