I’m posting this because I’m desperate. I used to have NAT 2 but it got knocked off somehow and cant remember how I got it. I have tried every solution on the net. Here is just a short list of
    what I have tried
    • Made a static IP Address on the PS3 192.168.1.17
    • Opened and enabled all the routers NATs in Custom Services TCP port 80
      TCP port 443
TCP port 5223 UDP port 3478
      UDP port 3479
UDP port 3658 UDP port 3659 Xbox Live , ect
    • Tried PPPoE I was told what it was when I rang up eircom. But then the Ps3 wont even obtain the IP address it just says failed.
    • Turned firewall to low, then turned it off
    • Reset router, tried every thing about 10 times, every possible combo, I’m very pissed of and ready to kill someone!!!!!!
Help! I’m a eircom customer , Netopia Router 2247Nwg or 2247-02, password is a wpa-psk. Router web address is http://192.168.1.254 Using Wirless, tryed wired but it was still NAT3

I am running 7.6.0r4 and it works well.

What version are you on. I have the exe file of 760r4 and the older 7.5.0. Simple to update/downgrade. Each file is about 2Mb. If you want either just post a reply here and then pm me your email address.

I had NAT 2 on my PS3 too up until a system update - the one before last I think. After the update it was NAT3 and I couldn't get it back to 2. Its wierd because my XBox360 is still at NAT2.

i always wondered how my nat went from 2 to 3 and i think branoic is right, i spent ages configurin all the settins before i knew i could use pppoe and i had nat2 then i checked it 1 day and it was nat 3
