Online music store recommendations?

I use emusic.com for buying most of my music. Its great, but as its independent music only, it gets a bit frustrating when I can't find what I'm looking for (which happens frequently). Anyone recommend any alternatives? Preferably with DRM-free files. I'd prefer not to use iTunes, they're a bit evil and expensive for my liking.

You could try Play.com (DRM-Free) or https://www.3v.ie/music_store (some are DRM free) but they are both dearer than iTunes.

there is also http://www.musicstack.com/ if you are looking for vinyl. its not as good as it used to be but beats getting ripped off on p and p charges from ebay.

I buy a lot of CD's and vinyl from www.boomkat.com and they seem to have a lot of MP3 and FLAC releases available too. I have never bought a digital download from them but couldn't fault them when it comes to buying CD's & vinyl.

www.7Digital.ie has a good mix of independent and major releases on it and it's drm free mp3s, worth checking

Yeah 7Digital seem to be the best. I was looking through it yesterday and I think they have more DRM Free songs than iTunes (I think the Warner Music Company and EMI are DRM Free on 7Digital whilst iTunes only has EMI). They are also 99c per track and they offer more free tracks than iTunes.
