We were thinking of getting a dish installed in our football team's clubhouse. Initially, we were going to contact Sky and avail of cheap (free?) installation, receiver, dish etc. but now we think as a clubhouse we would have to pay a higher subscription? Is this true and are there any ways around it? The clubhouse is small (no pub) and would rarely have a crowd more than 10 in it.

    Get a FreeSat box instead.

Ya, but like I said, we were interested in getting it from Sky so we would own the equipment in a year anyway.

You would own the Freesat box as well. However if you want sports you would need Sky.

Sky will treat you as a commercial customer so no free equipment or installation. As suggested already fressat/free to air is your best option.

It'd probably still be no harm in ringing Sky and inquiring about costs etc. since there's no big audience.

You own the Sky gear from day1. But you have to keep paying for the TV programs for a year.

    Normally commercial rates apply.

Technically in a Public area you may have to pay royalties (on FTA) and a Performance Licence too. Unless you feeding a giant Hotel or several streets, The BBC/ITV/C4 are unlikely to fuss.
