I need to buy a laptop for under €500 this afternoon - where can I get a decent deal within the Dublin area. Preferably 13" screen and integrated DVD burner, other specs not essential.

I'd try Elara and see if you can get it couriered or picked up.

They've live on-line support so you could ask them online.

Try the Laptop shop in St. Stephen's Green.

Though for that money, I am not so sure you will get one with a 13" screen.

Thanks for the suggestion. I had a quick look, didn't like what I saw, so I ran across to a DID Electrical near me here.

I picked up an Acer Aspire 5315, display model, for €272 plus VAT, so I'm happy enough with that.

I've always found The laptop shop to be very expensive.

People have reported here that they matched online prices.
