terry closed my thread, so i sent him a mail complaining and he blocked me. so i went to the suggestion box, suggested terry is baned for deleating my thread ( abusing powers) and this other guy starts abusing me calling me names and sent me the second mail the infaction, which doesnt make much sence in the contexted its used

You posted a couple of silly threads, don't you think? Especially the overthrow the establishment one. We've seen it all before a hundred times, sort of loses the humourous angle.

You started a couple of flippant threads, they got locked with some flippant remarks, you got flippant with the moderator, bad end.

The suggestion box is in the Adverts Support section, a cursory glance at the threads there would tell you it's the wrong place to post.

You needed help cooking frozen sausages? You expected users on boards.ie tell you whether or not you should be cooking the sausages more or less or what to do with your bungled attempt at cooking frozen sausages? Unfortunately After Hours moves too quickly to handhold every user, it's a very tighly moderated area.

It's generally best not be be personally offended by moderators in high traffic forums. We don't pay them to do the (often) hard work they do.

possably the worst excuse ever, nearly ever thread on this form is sombody looking for help and yes think about it, we defrosted the sausages and then still had to cook then which we wernt sure or not if it was dangerous, which it turns out it is.

Yeah, look I don't think you understand how Internet forums work, I'm not having a go at you here, but I think you need to read up on them, figure out the terminology and some of the history, then reconsider your position.

You apparently haven't picked up a huge amount, because you're confusing moderators with administrators, and "forms" with threads and/or posts.

Which are pretty basic concepts.

Giving moderators the ability to "close" or "delete" (also terms you seem unfamiliar with) threads is how things work around here. Quite frankly it's been working pretty well for the last ten years and we're not in any hurry to change it.

its clearly not working ive seen a fair few threads closed for no reason and comments deleted because people dont like what was said, people abuse there power, and im sure you dont know half your admistrators

Well my criteria for "working" might be different to yours.

Mine is based on the fact that our visitors increase by a few thousand a week, our membership by a few hundred a week, and that I am employee of a website that started out as a script from "ASP For Dummies".

Also I know all the administrators, there are six of us.

i think your over rating your website there just a weee bit, this form is a copy of a template that alot of other 'form' based websites use, not exactly rocket science

I'm just rattling off some basic statistics here.

But as you say, this is just the same software as a bunch of other sites on the Internet use, so feel free not to use particular one. There's loads out there, nobody forcing you to post on - or even read - this one!
