    it very much depends on the issue, generally they are informative but slow to get things done.

    What's the problem you are reporting to them?

    if we were to light a fire they would be smoke going into the bedroom and the attic, only covered by homebond for two years after the issue of the HB11 (Final Certificate). Just notified them in time.

    hoping to get this resolved asap without to much stress.

    Most likley they will write to the builder and request that they inspect & rectify the issue.

    If I were in your position I would notify the builder myself as well as homebond.
