Has anyone here ever organised themselves a job in France where they stayed in an appartment or otherwise and worked in a restaurant etc. for the 3 summer months? I'm hoping to go next summer to improve my french and I will be after finishing my 1st yr of university by then. I would only be interested in staying and working in a city e.g. Grenoble, lyon, strasbourg, rennes, paris etc. If you have already had an experience similar to this could you please let me know how you arranged it especially the accomodation part. thanks ;)

it def is possible to find a job...come early and apply for everythin...eng/irish bars are good, or chambermaiding or waitressing ,look hard enough and you'll def get one!!! try student residences for summer. for accomadation..know some cost as little as 120E a month although they aren't great! another option is always au-pairing!
