    hi all

    i was unsure where i could put this thread - so decided all you lovely trinity students could help me!!
    ok the deal is - im going for primary school teaching this september....
    and i did Honours Irish for my Leaving Cert and all that but that was four years ago so havent really been in practice and now in college i will have to compete with all these people coming straight from Hns LC Irish you know??
    So basically i want to and need to brush up a lot on my irish....would love any and all suggestions on how to do this over the next 2 months.....
    i know the whole listen to and watch TG4.....
    anyone have other ideas??

    Hmmm....

    You could try Des Bishop's online language course. I hear it's rather good.

    Also check out the Gaeilge forum here on boards for loads of resources, and also Teach na nGealt (Forum for any kind of topic as long as it's through Irish.)

    There's language courses etc around Dublin (see the Gaeilge forum for more info on these) and Irish language pubs/nights out etc.

    You've nothing to be worried about. You did honours for the leaving and even though that was four years ago, you'll pick it up again fairly sharpish.
