I realise this is like asking how long is a piece of string, but having started back riding recently i am interested in purchasing, roughly the following and need to get an approximate price.

15.2hh or thereabouts for use in riding club, some competitions etc. I don't want any star of the future or anything, just something forward going but safe that i can have fun with. If i could get some approximate figures it would really help.

    Thanks a mill.:)

What age? I'd say anything from 6000+

I'd say about 5000 or so give or take, when I was looking for my horse I was quoted that for a 15.hh
    Hope that helps in anyway.
Of course you're also talkng tack and livery ....

You can get nice horses from about 2,500 from what I've seen. Tack is usually about 500-1000 depending on what you want, plus other stuff like rugs etc.

Thanks for all those replys. Good to get a ball park figure. Not too fussy re. breeds etc, i'll know after riding it whether i 'fall' for it or not !! :)

well i glean the information from a life spent around horses to be honest.
I do a lot of hunting and find tb horses very prone to stone bruises etc.
i actually know what im talking about here, im not a spoofer!!!

Ah it depends on the breed, temperment and the sire of the horse but you can get good deals
