Burn MOV/ AVI to play straight away

    Simple question I hope- how do I burn an AVI, MOV file on a DVD and make it play directly- so far I can only burn the file onto the DVD and cant play directly it on my Mac or DVD player

    use roxio toast to do it.

    I find nero vision (on my pc) is much better than Roxio Toast

    Yes but this is the Apple forum, so people don't generally care whats better on a PC.

    Another vote for Toast here aswell, although I do get a few corrupt discs ...

    Not sure if this will work, but it is FREE :)

    Burn is a good basic application.

    I use mac and pc's and if I want to talk about PC's I will. I was actually trying to make the point that Toast is not that good for converting video to dvd.

    Seems like you made the point too.

    Burn is free simple and does the job nicely.

    Great suggestion about Nero. Now all Spiderdan has to do is buy a PC to burn the DVD :D (or use Bootcamp and buy Vista, or buy Parallels AND Vista) :D

    I also use Macs and PCs but I tend to use the appropriate software on each. There are many options for the OP but I believe the FREE nature of the Burn solution may clinch it.
